My freelance consultancy work sees me working directly with organisations and design teams throughout the UK and beyond.
I provide design leadership and strategic, hands-on design, on projects large and small.
Over the years I’ve honed a balanced approach that draws the best from user experience design and brand strategy, and I’m also happy to adopt the methodology of whichever team I’m collaborating with.
I’ve been fortunate enough to lead design projects for Google, Spotify, Guinness, Confused.com, Penguin Books, Virgin, Marriott, TUI, The Coop, The Office of National Statistics, The Welsh Assembly, Bristol City Council, JISC, The BBC, Holland & Barrett, Adidas, Lego, Island Records, Channel 4, Jeep, Panasonic, Nokia, Logitech, Toshiba, Smile, Hargreaves Lansdowne, Nationwide and Clarks.

I’ve been working in the digital industry for over 15 years, during which time I’ve led design projects for organisations large and small, in the UK and beyond.
I started my career as an E-Commerce Analyst at GE, before joining iconic furniture manufacturer HermanMiller as Head of Interactive for Europe.
I then spent a year working as a design freelancer in Australia, with a variety of agencies in Sydney and Melbourne.
On my return I helped to set up a digital agency called Omni. In my role as Creative Director, I established a talented design team and led succesful design projects for the likes of Toshiba and the Welsh Assembly.
Following a period expanding my horizons via consulting and partnering in a number of design ventures, I joined acclaimed user experience agency cxpartners.
In my role as Head of Design I created and led the design team, providing creative leadership and hands-on design across accounts for clients such as Google, Spotify, The Cooperative Bank, Virgin Trains, Marriott, Holland & Barrett, Charles Tyrwhitt (which won E-Commerce Redesign of the Year), Channel 4, Thomson Holidays and many others.
In 2016 I left cxpartners in order to work with organisations in the consultative role that makes the most of my skills and experience.
